Role Overview:

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the General Manager leads a small, high performing team and is responsible for the strategic and operational delivery of Davimac Group machinery to the Australian market. The General Manager is responsible for driving the strategic plan, managing organisational resources, ensuring regulatory compliance and maintaining effective engagement with the wide-ranging stakeholder network.

Role Duties and Responsibilities:

Operational Growth

  • Lead the implementation of Davimac Group’s strategic plan and deliver progress against key priorities.

  • Oversee daily operations and ensure alignment with our strategic targets and goals.

  • Develop and implement effective strategies to enhance productivity and efficiency.

  • Drive innovation and improvement in systems, processes and service delivery.

  • Build and nurture relationships with customers, dealers and the Australian Agricultural community.

  • Provide effective oversight of financial, risk and business management systems.

  • Represent the Davimac Group with professionalism and clarity in diverse stakeholder environments.

Sales

  • Actively support the sales activities of Davimac Group.

  • Seek market opportunities to enhance Davimac Group sales activities.

Leadership

  • Lead and mentor a diverse team, fostering a positive and productive work culture.

  • Manage a collaborative, capable, and values-aligned Management team.

Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with all statutory regulations and company policies.

  • Report on operational progress monthly to the Managing Director.

General

  • Other duties as required by the role or directed by the Managing Director.

Essential Criteria

  • Tertiary qualification in a business-related discipline.

  • Proven experience in a senior management role with leadership of an annual $30+ million turnover.

  • Strong technical understanding of organisational development and quality management.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

  • Strategic mindset with a focus on results and growth.
