The Role
Davimac Group is seeking an experienced and proactive People, Culture & Compliance Manager to join our leadership team. This is a rewarding opportunity for a HR professional who is passionate about building great workplace culture, driving compliance, supporting leaders, and ensuring our people thrive.
Working closely with the General Manager and Managing Director, you'll play a key role in developing our workforce, strengthening our safety culture, and ensuring the business continues to meet its legislative and compliance obligations. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll partner with managers across the business to foster a high-performing culture, strengthen employee engagement, support continuous improvement, and ensure compliance with employment and WHS legislation.
Key Responsibilities
People & Culture
Lead and implement people and culture initiatives aligned with business objectives.
Provide expert HR advice and support to managers and employees.
Manage recruitment, onboarding, probation reviews and employee lifecycle activities.
Lead performance management, coaching and employee development.
Coordinate annual performance reviews and development plans.
Support succession planning and workforce capability.
Manage employee relations, conflict resolution and disciplinary processes.
Work Health & Safety
Lead and maintain the company's WHS Management System.
Promote and embed a strong safety culture across the organisation.
Ensure compliance with WHS legislation, policies and procedures.
Participate in Emergency Management planning, training and committee activities.
Coordinate safety reporting, audits, investigations and continuous improvement initiatives.
Compliance & Governance
Maintain and review company policies, procedures and internal controls.
Monitor legislative changes and implement required compliance updates.
Ensure compliance across employment, WHS and relevant industry legislation.
Prepare reports for the General Manager and Managing Director.
Assist with budgeting, reporting and organisational planning.
Leadership
Work collaboratively with the Senior Management Team.
Build strong relationships across all areas of the business.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Support training, mentoring and leadership development across the organisation.
About You
You are an experienced HR professional who enjoys working across a broad portfolio and building positive workplace relationships.
You'll bring:
Qualifications in Human Resources, Workplace Health & Safety or a related discipline.
Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar HR leadership or management role.
Strong knowledge of Australian employment legislation and WHS requirements.
Experience developing and implementing HR policies and workplace systems.
Excellent communication, coaching and interpersonal skills.
Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
Confidence working with managers to improve team performance and culture.
A proactive, practical and collaborative approach.
Experience within manufacturing, engineering or industrial environments will be highly regarded.
