The Role

Davimac Group is seeking an experienced and proactive People, Culture & Compliance Manager to join our leadership team. This is a rewarding opportunity for a HR professional who is passionate about building great workplace culture, driving compliance, supporting leaders, and ensuring our people thrive.

Working closely with the General Manager and Managing Director, you'll play a key role in developing our workforce, strengthening our safety culture, and ensuring the business continues to meet its legislative and compliance obligations. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll partner with managers across the business to foster a high-performing culture, strengthen employee engagement, support continuous improvement, and ensure compliance with employment and WHS legislation.

Key Responsibilities

People & Culture

  • Lead and implement people and culture initiatives aligned with business objectives.

  • Provide expert HR advice and support to managers and employees.

  • Manage recruitment, onboarding, probation reviews and employee lifecycle activities.

  • Lead performance management, coaching and employee development.

  • Coordinate annual performance reviews and development plans.

  • Support succession planning and workforce capability.

  • Manage employee relations, conflict resolution and disciplinary processes.

Work Health & Safety

  • Lead and maintain the company's WHS Management System.

  • Promote and embed a strong safety culture across the organisation.

  • Ensure compliance with WHS legislation, policies and procedures.

  • Participate in Emergency Management planning, training and committee activities.

  • Coordinate safety reporting, audits, investigations and continuous improvement initiatives.

Compliance & Governance

  • Maintain and review company policies, procedures and internal controls.

  • Monitor legislative changes and implement required compliance updates.

  • Ensure compliance across employment, WHS and relevant industry legislation.

  • Prepare reports for the General Manager and Managing Director.

  • Assist with budgeting, reporting and organisational planning.

Leadership

  • Work collaboratively with the Senior Management Team.

  • Build strong relationships across all areas of the business.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Support training, mentoring and leadership development across the organisation.

About You

You are an experienced HR professional who enjoys working across a broad portfolio and building positive workplace relationships.

You'll bring:

  • Qualifications in Human Resources, Workplace Health & Safety or a related discipline.

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar HR leadership or management role.

  • Strong knowledge of Australian employment legislation and WHS requirements.

  • Experience developing and implementing HR policies and workplace systems.

  • Excellent communication, coaching and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.

  • Confidence working with managers to improve team performance and culture.

  • A proactive, practical and collaborative approach.

Experience within manufacturing, engineering or industrial environments will be highly regarded.
